What are yeast infections
Yeast infection is also commonly called as thrush. The zoological name of yeast infection is Candidosis. Though the name says yeast infection, it is a fungal infection of the candida, microbe. Yeast infection may result in just a oral thrush or even vagnitis to fatal diseases. Some are superficial infections which just causes local inflammation and itching on the superficial skin. Most of such yeast infections are curable and treatments are widely known in the medical community. Most of the superficial thrush end up in redness ,itching and some discomfort. These simple infections might become complicated if they are not treated properly at the very early stage. Oral cavity, esophagus, gastro intestinal tract, urinary bladder and vagina or penis are the commonly affected area by the yeast infections.
Children at the age group of three to nine years are very prone to chronic mouth infections. These oral infection can be seen as white patches around the mouth.
The fungus called candida which causes this disease are normally present in the human but the growth of the same is controlled by the human being’s immune system.
The yeast infections are caused by some external agents like the soap used or unwashed clothes or even because hormonal diseases.
